Criteria for adopting from Pakistan

Pakistan has no law that stipulates the age of prospective parents, the marriage status, religion or the period of residency.

Therefore you can be of any age to adopt from Pakistan and of any religion, you may also be single or married.

Adoptions are not full adoptions but rather guardianships and you will have to readopt in the UK courts to gain full adoption status.

All adoptions must fulfil the criteria of the Pakistani Guardians and Wards Act of 1890

We are very happy that we have created good links with Pakistan to support adoptive parents wishing to adopt from this country.

The adoption process in country is a year and the children are very young and healthy.

Those who do not have power over the story that dominates their lives,
the power to retell it, rethink it, deconstruct it, joke about it,
and change it as times change, truly are powerless,
because they cannot think new thoughts. —Salman Rushdie
