To reach this amazing milestone, I urgently need to raise £21,800 in the next few weeks to get everything finalised and complete so we can open this year and start bringing children home. Dear Supporter,
In January 2013, we registered GiFT as not-for-profit organisation to begin working on creating a unique international adoption agency in response to the great interest of families wanting to give orphan children a loving home. We are now in professional development and will soon be ready to take action to respond to the global crisis of millions of vulnerable children growing up without parental care.
I am very happy to say that that news of our international adoption agency has been met with great enthusiasm, not only from hundreds of families across the country who have opened their heart to adoption and who desperately want someone to help them; but also from many countries who are very interested to work with GiFT to help secure their orphan children’s future.
I received these two emails yesterday, “My husband and I would love to be added to the waiting list please ”, and, “ Is there any news regarding your license? When do you think exactly we will begin our x program? I am so excited to hear from you and looking forward to working with you in x”. We are now confident that there is a very real need for our services.

We are almost there
After raising an initial amount of funding last summer, we began to make GiFT a reality. I would like to offer my greatest appreciation to those who have helped us so far. Without your support, enthusiasm and kind donations we could not have come so far. Thank you, we value your contributions.
We have been very busy:
- Working steadily through the numerous requirements for our Ofsted application, complying with laws, articles, guidelines and creating a frame work of who we are, what we are about, how we operate, our ethics, principles and values.
- Engaging with governments and agents in five countries to develop programmes for their children
- Creating a robust and workable organisational plan to help 20 families this year building to 50 families per year.
As well as
- Setting up our first class ‘document supply chain’ from translations to notaries, couriers to travel agents
- Getting 4 amazing people on our board, connecting with various specialists, engaging experienced and skilled personnel in child protection and inter-country adoption.
- Speaking to hundreds of potential adoptive parents who are very excited and have asked to go on a waiting list which we will open in the summer.

Realistically we anticipate finding loving homes and families for nearly 200 orphan children in the next five years. This is amazing!
We just need an extra push to take us to the stage of making an application to Ofsted to become a licensed Voluntary Adoption Agency. We want to do this in July, so that we can start to bring children home in November. We already have families waiting.

Once we are registered and begin to work with potential adoptive parents, we will become self-funding. However, it will be another six months before we can open our doors to start our vital work and we ask for your immediate and generous help to support us until that stage.
To ensure that we get everything in order for our license application and to continue with the current momentum, we urgently need to raise £21,800.

These funds will enable us to…
- Put in our full and comprehensive application for Ofsted license, complying with all legal and official regulations by end of July.
- Develop in-county programmes with orphanages and governments and apply to become Accredited Adoption Agencies in those countries.
- Create a good, vigorous, robust and transparent organisation that fully supports potential adoptive parents throughout their journey by a highly skilled and motivated team.
We have a very comprehensive work programme scheduled for the next few weeks which will guarantee our opening in 2014 so we need to get our heads down to make this happen. Only by focusing our full attention on our Ofsted application can we really help the children. It is my belief that if we fail to act now, this agency will never happen and orphans we hoped to provide families for, will suffer.

Transforming orphan children's lives through the love of international adoption

"If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies".
We need to raise £21800 by the end July to help some of the 151 million children growing up, day in day out, in an institution, with no change. They live each day the same. They are woken up each day at the same time, taken to do 'hygienic procedures', dressed, given food, allowed to wander in the small playroom, put down to nap, are woken up, taken to do 'hygienic procedures, given food, allowed to wander in the small playroom, put down to nap, are woken up etc, etc. Day in, and day out. Maybe, if they are lucky, they can go and play outside – if there are enough staff.
This is not a life. Their brains become hardwired into this stifled routine and synaptic gaps become blocked as there is no stimulation.
There are no butterflies for millions of children.
And this is why we have selected the butterfly as our image for GiFT. We know that the love of adoption provides the change needed to transform a child's life. With the loving care of a parent, children will flourish, they will blossom and their true potential will emerge. They will have a chance to lead a normal life, a beautiful colourful, wonderful, normal life. There is no greater GiFT. GiVE now
